The Country-House IL TIGLIO is situated in Mergo (AN) in a remote place of tranquillity and beauty among the Marche hills. Situated in a green area, ideal for relax, pleasant walks and mountain bike rides.

Within 20 minutes drive of Senigallia and his wonderful long wide Velvet Beach, 30 minutes drive of Ancona and its superb Conero Riviera, 10 minutes distance of mountains resort equipped with wide pik-nik area and located on Mount San Vicino and the hills of Valle Esina. A few steps from Frasassi Caves (the most important caves in Europe) and other important places rich in art and history such as Jesi (Federico II's birthplace), Maiolati (the birthplace of the musician Gaspare Spontini), Fabriano (a paper manufactoring centre also famous for the most ancient and watermark museum in Europe).

Several shines of faith in Romanesque style can be visited such as the San Vittore delle Chiuse Abbey near the Frasassi Caves, the Sant'Elena Abbey near the Apiro-Mergo highway exit, the Santa Maria delle Moie abbey (Moie di Maiolati) and some other outstanding places just to mention some of them. Worth of visiting is the historic and artistic village of Serra San Quirico, (3 kilometres from the country house). San Marino, Rimini, Loreto, Gubbio, Assisi e Cascia etc. are within an hour drive.
